[Home] :: [Support] :: [Dialup] Nationwide Roaming AccessLMI.net now offers nationwide roaming access. We are outsourcing modem lines in over 2000 different cities in the US and Canada. To use this service, you must first contact us and we can establish an account for you. Please send email to service@lmi.net and we can have your account setup for you. There is no additional charge. Using LMI Nationwide dial-up serviceAfter you have a roaming account established, access the dial-up access list to find a number near where you are dialing from. If you are unsure if one of these numbers is a local (toll-free) call, contact the phone company operator where you are calling from. Please note that LMI is not responsible for any long-distance charges you may incur when dialing one of these numbers. Your roaming login name will be the same as your LMI.net login name, but with "@locrian.com" appended to it. For example, if your usual login name is "frank", the login name while roaming will be "frank@locrian.com". The password will be the same. If you are sending our email from a POP client (such as Eudora or Outlook Express), you will need to change the address of your outgoing (SMTP) mail server when connected to our roaming service. Our normal SMTP server (mail.lmi.net) will not relay mail for you when not connected to our own network. Please set the outgoing mail server to "smtp2.locrian.com" when roaming.
