[Home] :: [Support] LMi.net DSL Configuration for Ubuntu 6.06
- Open the menu System -> Administration ->Networking
- Select the Connections tab. Select the Ethernet
connection interface from the list, then click the Properties button. Ensure
that the button marked Enable this connection is checked.
- If you are using a router (and/or have multiple computers): from the Configuration
list select "Automatic Configuration (DHCP)", then click OK.
- If you are just one computer plugged directly into the DSL modem: from
the Configuration list select "Static IP". Enter the IP address,
Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address, and click OK.
- Select the DNS tab, and add the two DNS servers to the DNS Servers
list, then click Close to finish.
Due to the relatively small number of our customers who need help with Linux
configuration, the phone support we can offer for Ubuntu systems
is limited; it may be necessary to bring your machine in to us, or schedule
a Pro Install to complete your DSL installation - contact
us anytime for assistance.
