[Home] :: [Support] :: [Email Configuration] Configuring Outlook Express for LMI.net1. Open Outlook Express. From Tools menu, select "Accounts", then click the "Add" button to select "Mail" This brings up the Connection Wizard. 2. Enter your full name. Click Next. 3. Enter your email address (i.e. "frankb@lmi.net"). Press NEXT. 4. The incoming mail server is of type "POP3". The incoming server address is "mail.lmi.net". The outgoing server is "mail.lmi.net". NOTE: You can only use our smtp server if you are connecting to the internet via LMI. If you use another ISP (such as SBC or Comcast), you will need to use their SMTP server address instead of "mail.lmi.net" Press NEXT. 5. Your account name is the actual login name on our server. This is the same as youemail address, but without the "@lmi.net". Now type in your password. You may want to have Outlook remember your password for you. Press NEXT. 6. That's it! Now click finish and you are done. You may want to explore other options in Outlook Express by selecting "Options" from the Tools menu. If you need to make any changes, you can again open the Accounts window, select the mail account, and choose Properties. (or just double click the mail account in the list. Here are some screen shots of a configured Outlook Express account. Use these as an example to make sure your settings are correct.
