IMAP (or Internet Message Access Protocol) is another method of reading and downloading electronic mail or bulletin board messages over the Internet. Email programs (such as Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, or LMi Webmail) can use IMAP to read or organize email messages, and store them on LMi's server, allowing fast access from any computer. Email stored on our IMAP server can be read from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer or Internet cafe while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between these computers. LMi.net offers an IMAP account for $10 per month plus a $10 set up fee. For organizations who wish to set up several IMAP accounts, we recommend the use of our cPanel web hosting plan. If you are interested in signing up for our IMAP service or a cPanel hosting plan, please contact our sales staff at 510-843-6389 or sales@lmi.net, or you may download and fax back our IMAP signup form.
